11 october 07 - Trumans will be touring in February of 08 in europe. The tour will be booked by Toutpartout booking agency We're bringing along one of our favorite groups of all time The Bugs. We're pretty excited about that. We'll be touring as a four piece for the first time in over a decade. Really excited about that as well. I'm also going to be giving a major overhaul to this site in a couple weeks when I get back from tour with Micheal Gira. Gotta redo the photo gallery, and fancy up the discography. I'm debating whether to make it possible to buy stuff from us thru the site... I just gotta figure out shipping prices etc. Anyhow, changes are coming! A split release with Rosolina Mar on Robot Radio Records will be out soon. The split contains a video as well as three songs and a remix. The video is an animated voyage thru many different Trumans album covers and inserts. Laurent Vicente did most of the work while I acted as storyboard planner and photoshop cut-out guy. It's only the second video we've ever done. I won't be putting it up on the website or youtube at least till the release sells out... I did put a relatively tame trumans live video up on youtube recently though. When I have more time I'll be editing some more live shows and putting them up as well. If I get enough done maybe I'll put together a cheap DVD to sell on tour.
The new album is still lagging. We've actually been reordering and swapping songs around. We're all pretty busy and trumans has never been our day job so things tend to bog down sometimes. Plus, my son takes up a lot of my free time which is awesome but we can't be as prolific as we have been in the past as a result. Oh well. We'll keep plodding along like the stinking behemoth we are. You'll have to kill us to stop us...
08 july 07 - wow, it's been quite a while since I've touched this site. I've been concentrating more on the myspace page... Plus nothing really new on the trumans front. We have a new album but we're waiting to see who will put it out. We're also thinking about rereleasing a few old albums but there are complications, of course... So touring has been put on hold till we get this all settled. I've been continuing my sound guy/driver/manager stuff over here in europe. I recently hooked up with the guys from Toutpartout booking agency and it looks like I'll be working almost exclusively through them. Plus, they'll be booking the next trumans tour. They are genuinely good guys. A wonderful thing to find in this industry... I worked with Lisa Germano recently on her euro tour. It was incredible. Great concerts. It was a privilege to get to know Lisa and her bassist Sebastian Steinberg. A couple real good eggs.
Also, my wife, Caroline, had a baby boy about eight months ago so we've been hanging out and having fun with him. His name is Benjamin Sphere Branstetter
15 july 06 - We'll be doing a mini-tour in the states from aug 17-sept 9 '06. We'll be playing at the HALLELUWAH FESTIVAL in portland, oregon. It's the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of sept... I just sent off a song for a compilation album they're putting out. Look out for it. Otherwise, I figure we'll play tuscon, san diego, los angeles, san francisco, seattle, bellingham, vancouver and wherever else we can find inbetween. We'll definitely be playing some shows with Old Time Relijun. Maybe all of them. More details to come... Check the tour info link above for dates.
In other news, the live album we recorded on the last tour in Oslo at the incredible SPASIBAR is sounding really good. I'm finishing up the last bit of mixing and I'll let y'all know when to look for that. Take care everyone!
20 Nov 05 - Just finished the tour. It really went great. First off we'd like to thank everyone who helped out on the tour - especially Friction and Nico B and I'm Being Good! Thanks for all the beer and sleeping places! And thanks alot to the Spasibar in Oslo where we spent two days recording a live album. I can't wait to start mixing that stuff. It sounds by far the best of any live recording we've ever done. We're all excited to get that out.
On the home tip, we're recording new songs right now to add to our ridiculously huge amount of already recorded songs. We'll probably have at least three albums to put out. Nows the time to bug us for singles or comp songs or full albums. Our mixing studio just got completed so watch out for an insane barrage of trumans albums and material within the next year! I'll try to get some pix up from the tour. We got some good ones but i'm pretty lame with my website skills and I've been having a little trouble...

OKAY! There's a new Justice My Eye/Elevated Loin release (#007)! Our buddies, The Lawn, have the honor of being only the second non trumans water based band (Powerdresser was the first) to grace our label.
A tasty little bit o' gossip for y'all; we've been in touch with The Rapture who are currently working on a new album. They seem to be very keen on bringing Trumans Water on tour with them the next time they head over to europe. Apparently they saw some trumans shows back in the day in San Diego and have been fans ever since. This won't be real quick-like but hopefully in the not too distant future. Of course I'll keep you updated...
20 May 05 - Allright. Back from tour with the Bugs and WDS. It went great. I'm having troubles getting the photos into a format that works... I'll try to get that sorted soon. Thanks to everyone who helped us out, put us up, came to the shows, bought us beers and was generally nice (especially the kind folks in Malmo! Thanks for saving us Anna!!!!). We had a blast.
No definite touring plans for WORLDS DIRTIEST SPORT (kevin n caro branstetter-Justice My Eye/Elevated Loin Records) for the moment. We will be recording this week so we can hopefully put out an album pretty soon. Most likely it'll be on Justice My Eye/Elevated Loin unless someone steps in and wants to put it out.
